A New Dawn for Kizimbani and Weni

For the people of Kizimbani, the introduction of the Kizimbani Community Solar Pumping System has been nothing short of life-changing. With a powerful 36.8 kWp solar system, this pump now delivers 30,000 liters of clean water per hour, replacing diesel-powered systems that were costly and unsustainable. Meanwhile, in Weni, the Weni Solar Pump System with 41.4 kWp of solar power now pumps 45,000 liters per hour, ensuring reliable and sustainable water access for the community.

A Lifeline for Women

For many women in these communities, access to clean water has transformed daily life. Instead of spending hours collecting water, they now have time to focus on education, family, and economic opportunities. 

In Weni, the impact is just as profound. Women have gained newfound freedom to engage in income-generating activities, while children benefit from better hygiene and more time for education.

• Cost Savings: $18,146 per year
• CO₂ Reduction: 40.3 tons per year
