Off-Grid Solar System and Battery Storage

Guest Rooms (left wing) – 3.96 kWp of Photovoltaic panels with 18 kWh of battery storage and 1 x 3kVA/48V inverter/charger. The system is remotely monitored using Victron Color Control GX.

Guest Rooms (right wing) – 3.96 kWp of Photovoltaic panels with 18 kWh of battery storage and 1 x 3kVA/48V inverter/charger. The system is remotely monitored using Victron Color Control GX.

Mess & Kitchen – 10.56 kWp of Photovoltaic panels with 72 kWh of battery storage and 1 x 10kVA/48V inverter/charger. The system is remotely monitored using Victron Color Control GX.

Solar Pool Pumps

• 1 x LORENTZ PS2-1800 CS-37-1 Solar Pool Pump system.
• 1 x LORENTZ PS2-600 CS-37-1 Solar Pool Pump system.

The pumps are also connected to LORENTZ SmartPSUK with SmartStart and LORENTZ Power Pack 2000 respectively which make the systems hybrid – they automatically connect to the generator to supplement water pumping and circulation during cloudy days. The submersible pump serves the entire lodge, staff and guides quarters with more than 120,000 litres of water per day and 1 x 50 m3 swimming pool.

Solar Water Heating

• 10 X 160L and 10 X 300L Solar water heaters to serve all guest room
• 1 x 160L Solar water heater for the manager’s house.

Solar Fridges & Freezers

• 1 X 390L Solar Freezer for the kitchen
• 2 X 225L Solar Freezers for the kitchen
