This innovative solution harnesses the abundant solar energy available in Michamvi, Zanzibar, transforming it into an eco-conscious amenity for guests. We installed two 300L closed-loop Calpak Solar Water Heaters, seamlessly integrating them into the resort’s infrastructure to optimize efficiency and enhance the guest experience. 

These advanced solar thermal collectors efficiently capture sunlight, converting it into heat energy to warm the resort’s water supply. One standout feature of this system is its closed-loop design, ensuring the separation of water circulating through the collectors from the resort’s domestic water supply. This maintains water quality and eliminates the risk of contamination.

By harnessing solar energy, the system reduces reliance on traditional heating methods, thus cutting energy consumption and operating costs. This sustainable approach reduces the resort’s carbon footprint and enhances the overall guest experience.
